Aims and Objectives

1) To help poor and needy neurosurgical patients without compromise in the quality of the treatment.

2) To spread awareness about the neurological and spinal disorders among the medical community.

3) To participate in neurosurgical and neurological education.

4) To carry out research on brain and spinal problems.

Why do brain and spine surgeries cost more?

Neurosurgical equipments are very expensive. Most of them are imported with heavy duties levied on them. The hospital has to buy as well as spend money on maintenance of these equipments. The drugs required in neurosurgery are also very costly and have to be imported. Surgeries on the brain and the spine are lengthier than usual and this increases the cost of Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia.

What is the answer?

  • The total cost of the surgical bill can be managed through patient’s contribution, concession from the doctor’s fees and contribution from the foundation.
  • The foundation will also accept neurosurgical instruments and medicines in donation. These will be used free of cost for the treatment. This will effectively reduce the total bill.
